FOR A WARM WELCOME. For centuries solid wood doors were built using the same principles – until the 1980s with the arrival of glued sandwich construction using pressed board and sheet metal. Like everyone else we learned to use the new techniques, but we never abandoned building solid doors in the traditional way. When new craftsmen join the company they learn from the old hands. In this way our traditions and craftsmanship are passed down to the next generation of door carpenters. As a result, we have nearly eighty years experience of building doors in solid wood.
