We always aim to source wood responsibly. Being located in a remote place where the sea and the woods are always present, we feel it is our obligation as a company. CAREFULLY SELECTED MATERIALS FOR ALL COMPONENTS OF OUR DOORS
Not all types of wood are suitable for building doors. Since we want to guarantee good results, we use the following types of wood. They are durable, beautiful and FSC®-certified.
Ash, Fraxinus excelsior
White Swedish FSC®-certified ash.
Oak, Querqus Robur
Swedish FSC®-certified oak.
Freijo, Cordia Goeldiana
FSC®-certified wood from Brazil. A durable and strong wood with surface and graining very similar to teak.
Teak, Tectona Grandis
We have at last, after 10 years of work found FSC®-certified teak in Indonesia.
Walnut, Juglans nigra
North American FSC®-certified walnut.
Pine, Pinus Silvestris
Swedish FSC®-certified pine.

FSC® FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL®
Bovalls has traceability certificates for manufacturing and selling FSC®-certified doors. This means that we sell doors that are made of wood from sustainable forests, where forest worker receive decent wages, where animals and vegetation have good conditions for survival and where no more trees are harvested than the forest can replace naturally, and other controlled materials.
